GeneticTesting

ok so today i had mt 12 week check up the doctor told mu husband and myself that we have until our yext app 4 weeks to decide if we want to have the test that checks for downs. I had no interest in having the test done because no matter what I am having the baby ! My husband said that if we had the test and something is wrong we can prepare for it . So I guess my question is did you have the test if so was it accurate and is there a way to prepare for a baby with a genetic defect
