What's Going On?

I've suspected that I'm pregnant for a week or so now and yesterday I began spotting brown blood. It's 2 am now and I woke up with intense cramps. Is this normal???

Update: The blood does not smell like my period. I have a very strong sense of smell when it comes to that and it's not the same. The cramps feel higher than my period cramps as well.
