How did your relationship go with having a child?

How did having a child effect your relationship with your partner? if there is another option not mentioned then leave a comment!

It is one of those things that make you or break you in my opinion. There were times my fiance and I looked at splitting up. We fought constantly and I resented him for a lot of reasons (mainly because I left my career to be a stay at home mom). We also lost who we were as a couple, because we spent all of our time focusing on work or our child that we never took time to focus on each other. For fifteen months we had a total of 5 times being alone and focusing on each other with no distractions. Now we make it a point to go out together monthly at least. the greatest advice we got was from his divorced parents, if you don't  focus on each other you'll lose yourselves eventually and that leads to the split and miscommunication. I'd never ever recommend having a kid to fix anyones relationship, that's for sure haha. If you want it to work, it will. If you give up, it will fall apart.

Its hard. Having a child is one of the most difficult things you can go through together. You change, they change, the relationship changes. Sometimes it makes you stronger and sometimes it breaks you apart. My husband and I went through a HUGE adjustment with our son and it brought a lot of issues with our marriage to light. Fortunately, it ultimately helped us change our relationship for the better and we are ultimately a better and happier couple for it.

He had two previously. But adding A baby do is was a different. We have never argued more then we did the first 3 months of our sons life! Sleep depravation is real! My husband isn’t used to being challenged in his ways of parenting mine 100-% the opposite of his views. It’s new to
Him to have to parent with someone else. 
It was tough but here we are my son is nearly 8m old!!!

My first pregnancy I dealt with alone, my husband and I ended up getting together while I was pregnant. We're now pregnant with #2 4 years later, with a girl this time, and I want to punch his face every other day. Then have sex because I'm insatiably horny, too. Pregnancy is ridiculous.

We fought a lot while I was pregnant ( I hated him for some reason) but now we are much better.

I don't have a child yet, but we did have a big pregnancy scare two months ago and I was over a week late, and had a lot of symptoms of early pregnancy. It really drew us together. He was very supportive, he took care of me and was comforting and not selfish. I was absolutely terrified and he knew it and made sure I was taken care of. I know it's not the same as actually having the baby and the strain that causes. But similar in a way.
