Do you feel it is okay for schools to take your children’s supplies and distribute it randomly to different students?

So I’ve heard of this happening more and more across the country where parents have no idea or sometimes they are told that whatever you buy will be distributed to other students.. so that sparkly folder you want your child to have may be going to someone else.

I don’t agree.. I feel if I buy supplies for my child it is intended for my child. I can understand the school asking for extras from each parent but to take supplies that your child is excited about using?

I just heard about this happening to a local school (I mean it happened last month but still) and my friends child told me that her daughters cat folder (it was a custom cat folder of their cat) was given to someone at random and she’s really upset because nobody ever told them that was gonna happen otherwise they would have bought something plain that appeals to everyone.

It’s not that serious of a topic, school supplies is super cheap but it’s the idea that can be controversial so what do you guys think?
