Yes, I have no problem in praying, singing, chanting or hell even doing the Macarena for others if it gives them the tiniest of peace and/or hope. I'd want the same kindness in return in such an unsettling world.

Yes. I'm an atheist and if someone asks me to pray for them I will say I will keep them in my prayers.. by that I mean that I will keep them in my thoughts and hopes. They don't need to know i don't agree with them religiously.

My stance on religion really isn't that important to overshadow a friend going through a difficult time.

I see it like this.. even if you don't believe, what is a prayer going to hurt?

I don’t necessarily pray for them, but I think of them and wish them what they’re needing, health, love, kindness, etc.,. I don’t say anything to a god or anything. I just send them my most positive thoughts.

I'll think good thoughts for them and wish for the best, but I'm not going to "pray." I think it's kind of insulting to both of us for me to pray to an entity I don't believe in.

I'm gonna be the one asshole to say no I wouldn't prey because no matter how upset somebody is I don't believe in God and I'm not gonna prey.

I'm not gonna be fake and pray with them when I don't believe in it. That just seems pointless. Besides I'm not often friends with people who do pray.. and if I am it's because they keep it away from me and we mutually agree not to discuss it because it's not part of our relationship. 🤷🏻♀️
