I can see stitches

I had my c-section nearly 11 weeks ago now. I had the little balls (I think they are called prolene balls) anyway I had those out 5 days after birth and as I understood it the process would be quite uncomfortable but I honestly didn't feel a thing. Anyway the other day I was looking at my scar and I can see stitches. Should I be able to see these? If they are dissolvable should they have not gone by now?
