Having babies close together

I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second child and my first child is 10 months old. I constantly get crazy looks when people find out I'm pregnant so soon. I hear people always say "wow that's going to be really hard on you" or " you know what causes that right?" no one really says congrats. My own parents didn't act happy for us. But me and my husband have been together for years and we are extremely happy to be expecting another baby(even though we weren't trying) does anyone else who had or is having babies so soon ever been through this?
