Should I be scared about my c-section?

Due to a pre-existing medical condition, I have been told I have to have a c-section. So many woman talk so negatively about c-sections vs natural births, I'm starting to feel really worried. Any advice?

I think MOST women just prefer to try it naturally. If you have a medical condition, that's not a choice. C-sections aren't that difficult. I've had 2. The emergency was tough but the scheduled wasn't THAT much worse than vaginal recovery. Positives?
-you have no problems with your... lady parts lol
-everything is planned. No surprises.
-nowadays, you get to nurse your baby in recovery and do immediate skin to skin!
-when family comes in to visit, you're not worn out from labor.
-you don't feel a THING after the spinal (which is cake).
-you're much more relaxed which ACTUALLY allows for a more calm first BREASTfeeding experience. 
These are just a few perks. Recovery isn't that bad either. You're up and at it pretty quick if it's planned. The horror stories are usually EMERGENCIES after hours of hard labor and/or complications. 
My personal preference, would be natural. But to be honest, after 6 kids- my 7th being a planned section was AMAZING!

Do you shouldn’t. But you’re allowed to be scared. It’s surgery. Anything major like that is going to be nerve wracking. It can be a really pleasant experience if you make it that way. Talk to your doctor. Say you want a gentle csection and you want skin to skin right away.

Don't worry, it's not bad as what people make it out to be. The best way to heal fast is walking, yes I know I sound crazy but walking will allow you to heal fast! Just take your medicine before your pain starts or as it's coming on. Take your stool softeners because they will be your best friend!
