Should i be upset about this?!

So my husband works a retail job and has like 2-3 days off. He usually goes in at 3,4 or 5pm and stays till 10pm. do you think he should help me with the baby so i can get some sleep at night? when he is off? or should i just let it be because he works and i don't? he never wants to help anyway, ill get 2 hours of sleep before he gets so tired he can't stand it. 🙄 what do you guys think? am i over reacting ?

He should help no matter what. It’s his child too, not only yours. Just because he works and you don’t doesn’t mean he has to be an ass about it

Once you become a parent, you don't get the luxury or the freedom to put your needs first. Simple as that. He needs to take care of his kid.

I am due in April and after maternity leave I will be going back to work while my husband stays home(he is disabled) but even though I will be working I will be doing everything I can with the baby. Him working does not mean he isn’t a parent and he should be  helping any chance he gets.

um. yes, yes her should help. he works in the EVENING. aka he can get up with the baby at night so you can rest, and then you can let your so sleep in while you care for him or her. your so sucks. tell him he needs to help and stop sucking hahaha

So he works around 25 hours a week and doesn't help? girl, that's a part time job. really no excuse why he shouldn't be helping.

3. If you were employed I’d be willing to bet that he’d expect you to care for the baby just as much

If you don't work at all, sleep when the baby does. You should do the home stuff. He's bringing in the income. I work from home and whilst I work full-time, I don't have a commute and I am able to do little bits like laundry that don't take much time but require being home. The more that's sorted, the more time you have together that isn't chores.

a baby is both parents responsibility whether one works and the other doesnt. it took 2 to conceive not just one parent.

He should definitely be helping with the baby. Being a stay-at-home mom is a full-time job, and he needs to acknowledge and accept that you need rest, too. His job isn't more stressful or important than yours just because he gets paid for his work.
