Circumcision aftercare and healing time?

How long until baby is healed from his circumcision? Do you have any tips for aftercare? Trying to prepare 😊

Donnttt let the dr wrap it in gauze!!! it's horrrrrible and scary looking I was in tears and dreaded his diaper changes they told us not to touch it until it comes off we were petrified of that gauze lol and then my husband and I took him to his 2 day check up and the nurse was all uggggh idk WHY they DO this she took it off and was handling it like it was nothing. It looked SO much better and she was like just put the ointment on the diaper that's all you need! She hated when the doctors did that...And we were SOOOO relieved because that gauze is atrocious! Lol. after that it was nothin... idr when I totally stopped worrying about it after 2 weeks maybe?

Feels like forever. About a week or two though. Keep petroleum on it until it's healed, and there were a couple of times we did it after when it would get a little irritated.

Our son took about a week!  We actually got a tip to put A&D; ointment on it so we did and it seemed to help heal it pretty quick!  We always globbed it on his diaper where his penis would sit to help keep it from stick to it too.

It's been a week since my little guy had his and it looks pretty much healed at this point, but I'll probably just finish little tub of Vaseline we have. We just kept it clean and put gauze with a generous amount of Vaseline on it every diaper change. For the first few days we just used water to clean it, but after that we used water wipes (just make sure the wipes don't have alcohol).
