I'm 14 and I am debating whether or not to get a tattoo of my brothers name, who passed away about a year ago. I know there are some places to get a tattoo as young as 14. I aware that I am young but I really want it and know I will not regret it when I am older. My parents consent, and I'm just looking for some other opinions or advice.

If it’s for your brother (I’m sorry about your loss btw) then I don’t see a issue with it. If it was for no reason then I’d say wait till your a little older

I started getting tattoos when I was 14. There is nothing wrong with it. As long as you are positive that it is the exact design that you want. I have four tattoos and they are all in memory of some of my loved ones that have passed on. 
This was when I was 14. It's for my cousin who was pretty much my brother.

This one I got when I turned 15, it's in memory of my brother who passed away from brain cancer.

This one is for my dad who died just last year and I got this when I was 16

If your parents are allowing you to do, then yes. But make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing!!!!

I would wait. you have your whole life to get tattooed, take some time to plan it out. placement, artist, etc. you don't have to get just a name, maybe a portrait, something he liked, something that represents both of you. don't rush it!

If you want it, and your parents are allowing it, then I don’t see anything wrong with it. Just make sure you really research the proper way to care for your tattoo, and make sure the place you go to isn’t some shady place, places that tattoo that young tend to be not so good of a place. Make sure you see them open the package that has the tattoo needle, and that they sterilize the area and wear gloves and everything. Also make sure you see some of the artists previous work, there’s too many people out there doing tattoos that are absolutely horrible at it. And also make sure the tattoo is exactly how and where you want it to be, this is something that’s forever on you and can’t be changed, and since it’s your brothers name it should be the best it can be.

If you have your parents consent and go to a professional shop, I say go for it! Just make sure you know how to properly care for a tattoo during healing.

go for it im 16 and got my bf to tattoo me when i was 15 he used a gun he got off amazon 😂 i wouldn't recommend that tho but i don't regret any of my tattoos one bit
