How far along am I?

Question

According to my LMP I'm 8w2d. But according to my ultrasound I'm 6w2d but I think she measured wrong or baby was in a weird position. And according to when I beleive I Ovulated, I'm 7w2d. LMP Aug.11. Negative blood test on Sept. 7th, Positive home test Sept. 15th. as of Wednesday Oct. 4th my hcg level was 19,000. I'm so confused.

I'm right there with you LMP was aug 13, I'm supposed to be 8 weeks today but measuring 6 weeks & there's barely a shadow of the yolk sac. I had a miscarriage in July & only had 1 period between the two pregnancies so I know my cycle was longer & I ovulated late! Early in pregnancy is so difficult I think you could have a scan in two weeks & they might say you're measuring at 10 weeks good luck x

The ultrasound is usually the most accurate dating system and likely what your doctor will use regardless of how you feel. The hcg level doesn't really tell you anything, except that in early pregnancy it should be doubling every 48-72 hours but the levels vary drastically from woman to woman. Your last menstrual cycle is only indicative if you have a super regular cycle, but you could have ovulated late and been a slow implanter (varies from 5-10 days after ovulation). These two factors could easily add up to a two week discrepancy but you could always get a second opinion. Ultrasound techs are very knowledgeable but obviously everyone occasionally makes mistakes sometimes.
