Mine makes all sorts of sounds that freak me out and make me think he's choking or having trouble breathing so I get up a lot say night to check on him

Mine grunts and makes all kinds of noises. I  took a video and showed my pediatrician. She said it sounded totally normal.

Mine grunts for 3-4 hours straight starting at about 4 am. I'm going to all the pediatrician about it because it seems a bit excessive.
