Getting pregnant after stopping birth control?

I stopped taking Loestrin FE on 9/4 (end of my pack) got my period as always from 9/5 - 9/10 and I haven’t had one since. I’ve been having symptoms similar to PMS since last week (but hasn’t been as bad the last couple days). Sore/sensitive nipples, really noticeable cramping that was different from what I’m used to, and very fatigued. I really can’t tell if I’m just readjusting to being without BC or that it’s something more. I’ve taken 2 tests on 10/2 and 1 on 10/5 all negative. I’m guessing I’m not pregnant, but I’m honestly not sure what to think 😔
Do I need to have another period before I can get pregnant? Does anyone have any wisdom on this?

I was on BC also the pill similar to your brand and almost never got my period unless I really messed up my pills that month. I stopped taking my pill around 8/15 this year and got my first period off it on 9/17. My nipples were so sensitive and I was sure it was pregnancy. I also felt the cramps you brought up but apparently that's all normal side effects from coming off of the pill. It's funny how your period stopped after the pill while mine stopped on. Just goes to show how different it truly affects everybody.

My first 2 cycles after stopping BC were crazy. I seriously thought I was pregnant! I did not know that my body was adjusting to the change in hormone level. I am on cycle #4 TTC and the symptoms and I feel more "normal." My doctor said to see her in 1 year if we aren't pregnant by then. She didn't mention the symptoms of getting off BC or the emotions of TTC. best of luck to you!
