Epidural or water birth?

Just looking to hear about women's experiences with these two things, as I'll be choosing one of these options if I don't have to get a c-section (doctor thinks I will need one but not 100% sure yet).

My advice, go for a water birth. If you want an epidural you can you will just be moved from the bath to the bed (you can’t go back off course). If you choose an epidural from the beginning you won’t get the option to try a water birth. You never know what will happen. Look for a hospital with the water birth option and everything will work out.
My personal experience is that I planned everything for my water birth and then I got hypertension so I needed to be induced. Bummer. So plan for your wishes and hope for the best, but keep in mind things can go differently. Good luck and congrats!! 😁🎉🎉🎉

I had an epidural and I was so thankful. It was the best thing in the world. I was basically numb from the waste down. Though it got Annoying at times because my one butt cheek was so numb that it felt weird but i personally rathered that than the pain of my contractions. Once I had the epidural I almost couldn’t even tell I was having contractions anymore. If I wasn’t focusing to tell if I was having one I didn’t know I was. Fortunately for me even though I was nice and numb I was still able to push without them having to turn it down or off. The second I delivered my son they turned he epidural off and 2 hours later I was up and walking. I will definitely get it again for my next birth. Now I know not everyone is lucky and has an epidural that works but that’s my story and my opinion. If you really want to try without medication go for it and maybe attempt a water birth but don’t be afraid the admit if you’re in to much pain and need something.

I got the epidural.. everyone reacts differently toward it... my contraction pains went away but I could still feel the pain of my baby moving down into my hips and out.. which I didn't mind, pushing is way easier then contractions... I had minimal feeling in my legs and I could move them but I wouldn't be able to stand, probably just move around the bed

I hated my epidural as it left me feeling restrained. Couldn’t do anything without somebody moving my legs for me for hours after delivery. 
Went natural for my next two and will do the same with this one.
