When are you starting maternity leave?

My work is asking me when is going to be my last day of work. 
I’m wondering how many weeks did people work up until, or are planning on working until?

Till I can't. I have to use my PTO and Sick leave for my maternity leave so I'm gonna work till I go into labor. I wish I could take time off 😔

I’m working until 2 days before I’m induced and that’s just because we’re closed those 2 days of id be working then too.

Well I planned to start it after my baby was born...but now that I’m 2cm dilated at 34 weeks it started today per doctors orders! Already going stir crazy at home 🙁

Where are the people who are voting 39-40 weeks from? I’m wondering if the country you live in influences this decision?

til i go into labor. same with school. i plan on going back to school the next week and only working weekends if i dont have school

I’m due the week after Christmas so I will be done working the weekend before Christmas which I would be almost 39 weeks. I would be off the whole week of Christmas anyway.

I live in London U.K. so I can start my maternity leave any time after 29 weeks. But I think I want to work as long as I can, to save more money. When do you think your body just needs the rest? Is it too exhausting to do anything in the last few weeks?

California state disability provides 4 weeks prior to delivery and 6 weeks post delivery.
