Being induced next week due to baby's health concerns, if I clean up(shave or wax) my lady bits now will it be a horrible itchy mess during recovery or should it be ok?

Everyone told me to shave when contractions started so I would be clean for delivery because early labor can take a while... Since shaving was an act of acrobatics my whale sized belly made so much more difficult- leading up to my due date I shaved like once a week or two. Then my water broke at work and that plan went straight out the window. I work at the hospital I delivered at so I just went upstairs and we had a baby. I was a hairy beast and couldn't care less. It honestly didn't even cross my mind until I got home and looked at my legs and was like -- eww gross. Here's my advice- if you normally get uncomfortable when you shave- don't do it. Your lady bits will already be uncomfortable enough without the added fun of razor burn.

Yep 😂 been there and done that. So this time I’m booking in to be waxed as it doesn’t get itchy etc

Wax. It won't get itchy.

Wax it.  I have been for years and did with my first.  It hurts....but none f the itching, and since you can’t wipe postpartum you won’t have stubble/hair getting in the way.

I used to get horrible razor burn and super itchy but now after I shave I put rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and dab it on the OUTSIDE of the vagina and I don’t get razor burn or itchy!
