I have a question about child support I was wondering if you could post. My boyfriend and I don’t live together and we have a meeting at the end of the month with the child support agency. He doesn’t help out much. Maybe spends $10 or $20 on her a check (he gets paid about $500 every week) and it’s just not cutting it. I exclusively breastfeed so I’m only working part time. My checks are maybe $150-$200 every 2 weeks. I want to ask for child support but I’m afraid to ask in front of him because he’ll probably yell at me afterwards. Has anyone else gotten child support while with their child’s father but not living together? Or any advice on what to do? I was thinking about calling them today or tomorrow and speaking with the case worker privately. Also I’m located in Wisconsin. I have her full time and am unable to find care for her full time for me to work. She’s only 3 months and I’m not comfortable leaving her with a stranger 40 hours a week.
