Is it safe to get my nose pierced while breastfeeding?

Normally they advise not to do piercings or tattoos while breastfeeding because of the risk of infection and passing it through breast milk. But I've known people who did both and were fine, so it's really up to you and the salon you go to.

I'm probably going to look like the worst Mom on here but...... my husband has a really good friend that's a tattoo artist professionally! He knew I was breastfeeding and still did a half sleeve in an 8 hour session WHILE my son latched on at a month old! I was cleared by my doctor before hand as well and was told if there was any infection to pump and dump! Nothing went wrong and it healed up amazingly well!!! Go for it but please talk to your doctor beforehand!
