Spotting, could be low progesterone????

Hi ladies, ttc #1 going to second month!

I’ve been having spotting for quite a while, not every month but some. Few months ago done ultrasound and some exams and ended up all normal. Doctors suggested birth control but of course I’m not going to because I want to have a baby and decided 2 months ago. Last month we tried but wasn’t this time and I had my period really heavy and is lasting forever, 9 days today, only spotting now but still here. Anyone had something similar? Could be low progesterone?
