Menthol-minty taste in mouth?

18weeks pregnant. For the past few days Iv had this crazy mentholy, minty taste in my mouth. Kind of like I smoked a menthol cigarette, without the tobacco taste. Lol. Anyone else experience this, or know what could cause it??
I'm assuming this has something to do with digestive issues, because I'm also having severe gas pains latley.

I don't notice any taste in my mouth. but my husband complains about my breath smelling like smoke all the time. I wonder why? (I'm not and never have been a smoker)

I’ll trade you it’s like I can’t taste most things and The few things I can leaves a metallic taste for maybe 20 minutes at the most but it’s still annoying
