Signs of labor ..

FTM! Just curious what are signs of labor if your water doesn’t break? Do you have severe pain? I am curious, I have been having contractions since 31.5 weeks and been on bedrest and procardia to stop then and been in the hospital 6x to stop them as well! Well I’ll be 36 weeks on Monday and my doctor is stopping my medicine and he said since I’m already dilated and effaced and baby is extremely low I won’t make it to my due date in November! I am just curious! I had a friend who was in my position last year same time and she was told to discontinue the same medicine I’m taking now and her water broke a week later! I still have pain and mild cramping at times now and I don’t time my medicine is working anymore and I hurt when I sit for 10 or longer and get up with pain with walking and can’t stand for long periods without hurting!!

Also is the sharp pain I have (TMI) in my lady area normal?? It kinda hurts and uncomfortable
