Mirena and AF

I understand that it takes awhile for your body to adjust to Mirena. I got my Mirena placed 6/12/17 and I bleed/spotted every day until August (with heavier flows when I was supposed to get my period).

However whenever my fiancé and I have unprotected sex (after my period is fin). I tend to start bleeding again later.

I’m getting my Mirena removed on 10/19/17 because we decided that we are ready to try to conceive.

So I’m just wondering if this is my body trying to adjust? I just got AF at the beginning of the month and it is usually lighter. I didn’t have my period at all on 10/9 and we had sex, but now I’m bleeding again (heavier than spotting but not as heavy as normal flow). 😒
