first trimester bleeding

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and started spotting 3pm Monday and still am. I'm not having any pains. I've passed a few clots. I went to the ER Monday they did hcg and ultrasound. My hcg was 3900. ultrasound showed baby but was too early for heart beat to be seen on ultrasound. I'm having deja vu all over again. I bled the first 4 months with my almost 8 year old son. I know you ladies aren't doctor's but just curious if any of you ladies experienced something similar? I started the progesterone pills today.
