Not much in it and it grows slowly but it does exist!

We keep a minimum 3 months worth of expenses in it, in case of emergency (ex: sudden loss of income) and add a little every payday for cushion. Comes in handy if something comes up like a blown tire, busted window, hubby gets sick and has a short paycheck, etc. Took us some time to get our cushion built, but it is extremely comforting.

I’m Native American and my tribe basically has it set up where every member has a savings account that they get access to when they graduate and turn 18. Money is added every 3 months to the account, for the rest of my life

My husband and I have a joint savings account. The account has a growth component added, and we have maintained roughly a years worth of expenses in that account. We waited 7 long years to start a family until we had our finances in order. It has always been our biggest nightmare to be without an income and children to keep safe. If worst case scenario, we have enough money in just our savings alone to maintain our life exactly how it is now for an entire year. Also, given that our son needed eye surgery twice and our unborn daughter has a kidney disorder, we have been counting our blessings that we prepared the way we did before bringing kids in the world.

Yes! And I put 10% of every paycheck in it, and will be 20% once my car is paid off in two months. I'm very passionate about saving lol

I have a savings account, but I don't make much money so most of the money goes to car insurance, commuting to school, etc. so I haven't been saving anything :/

I have three, and one shared with my husband. And an annuity and pension.

Oh and a cupboard cash stash. Can't take the Italian out of me

We have 3. Each of us has our own and we share one together.

I have all of my money in cash locked in a safe in my house. After I finish college I'm pulling all of the cash out and putting it in the bank. Was advised to do this by my school advisor.
