Baby sleep problem!!!! Is it normal that my 4-week old spend 2hr+ awake??
I read somewhere that newborn babies (0-3mth) should not spend more than 1.5hr btw the wake time of last nap and the time s/he falls asleep in the next nap. Otherwise it's likely that we have miss the optimal sleep window and that baby will be too fussy to fall asleep. The article also emphasizes that we should/could put baby down drowsy but awake to encourage good sleep habits.
Is it just my child or is it normal that there are ALWAYS 3-4 times a day that the gaps between his naps are longer than 2hrs (mostly in the afternoon, evening, and first half of nighttime)?

I can see that he becomes drowsy at around 1hr mark, but even if I rock/feed him to asleep, his sleep during those time is so light that he'd wake up instantly to any sound or different movement, not to mention the recommended putting him straight to bed/rock n play - on a good day he'd simply lay there with eyes wide open but cries loudly after a few minutes due to sleepiness; on a bad day he'd refuse to be put down.
Last night we hit the record of spending 4hr straight fighting to fall asleep!! 😳 0:30-4:30am simply awake + fighting! I don't understand how is this sooooo hard for him to close his eyes and sleep?? I tried everything I could think of - feeding, again and again, with bottles and boobs (not all are logged); rocking, again and again; singing; patting; talking; pacifiers; dress him warmer/cooler; diaper changing; snuggling; skin to skin; and repeat everything all over again... he'd fall asleep for a little while, but eyes would open after a few minutes as if his doze was over?! He was surely so, very, extremely tired/exhausted. I was willing to hold him the entire night as long as he could fall and stay asleep but this gentleman simply couldn't!
I feel like I don't know my baby 😩😭...
Any guesses or suggestion on how I can do better to cope with the sleepless night? 😴😴
