Contractions?

Ladies I have a question for those of you who have given birth before or already this month! I think I felt my first real contraction last night. Oh man was it intense and totally different feeling than the Braxton Hicks I’ve been feeling! But it was just the one and I haven’t had anymore since. Is that normal for when your real contractions started? Do the real ones start off random for a while and come and go like that? Or where they regular and consistent from the very first real one?? Getting excited hoping things are starting to progress!! As of my appointment Monday my cervix was still closed! Thanks momma’s!!
