Baby shower dress!

So I have a plain black long sleeved one that I got from target, they didn't have much of a selection 🙄 so I ordered this one off amazon just incase I liked it better which I think I do! I'm having a fall themed baby shower on Saturday and I think this would look good with a jean jacket or long cardigan.. but some people weren't a fan of the dress and said it looks too summery. I just wanted something a little colorful instead of just black but I could always dress it up and wear a statement necklace and jewelry! What do you think?
