When to announce?

Looking for advice, I’m not that close to my family, so not sure when to tell them I’m pregnant. Was thinking about telling my close friends, but scared that it’s too early. I’m only 5 weeks. Is it still normal to wait til 12 weeks?

Answer

It’s all about personal preference. The reasoning behind the 12 weeks is that the chance of miscarriage significantly decreases at that point. However I feel that at this point in time miscarriage and loss has rendered so much support and people are finally feeling okay about talking about it which is awesome! So tell people whenever you’re comfortable. It’s your pregnancy, you decide your own rules.

We told Family and close friends early so they could pray for baby and then told everyone at 12 Weeks
