Pads?

I’m getting induced tomorrow and I know they provide you with pads/disposable undies while you’re there.... but I need good recommendations for pads to get for home. I had my son 2 1/2 years ago so I don’t remember how bad the pp bleeding is 😬

I like the Always brand with “flex foam”. It’s not super thick and diaper-like but it soaks up a lot! I only bled heavily for the first week. After that it was like a regular period for the second week. The third and fourth week was like a very light period and then spotting. 
Definitely take as much disposable mesh undies and pads from the hospital as you can.

Just a heads up, if you are at all prone to yeast infections, DO NOT WEAR DEPENDS! They are not designed to absorb menstrual blood like pads are, so it just sits in there and no moisture is whisked away. They gave me a yeast infection, on top of my 4th degree tear with stitches...so fun 🤦‍♀️ my OB said she sees yeast infections all the time with postpartum women who wear depends, and almost never sees them in women who wear normal menstrual pads that are designed to absorb blood.

I bought always with wings I did buy the overnight ones usually I use the wings sport fit that super flexible bcuz I'm small and really don't bleed to much when I have my period butttt this is different so I did buy the over night the ones that are longer also. I know it’s super weird but buy the ones the Hospital gives you. At the store they’re like the super maxi pads or something like that. At least for the first week. And definitely take the disposable underwear with you when you leave the hospital! So much comfier.

My bleeding wasnt bad at all after day 1, i just got always overnights. Im not sure which ones they were but they were thin, but listed at a 6 for their absorbency,

I used depends 🤷🏻‍♀️ it saved my life. No wasted panties. It was also so nice to have it go up over my incision, panties were right at my incision like and it bothered it so much. The depends came up over my belly.

My hospital provided them and I was allowed to take the unused ones home.

I used what they gave me but it's not comfortable. I also had always brand pad diapers lol. worked so well. 1st few days it takes so long to get to bathroom that they help with that too 😉😷...  I only had 4 years but it felt like more so it's handy to have these things since they are easier to put on. After you get home just some good pads will be fine.
