VERY faint positive??? Please help.

So I did miss my period about 2 weeks ago. I have a genetic thing that runs on my family where I produce extremely low hcg. All the women in my family weren't able to get confirmed tests for almost 3 months. I had blood work done and it came back negative but the doctor said it was still possible because of the low hcg thing my family has. This morning I got a very very faint positive and my friend could see it too. Could the test be wrong? Is that still considered a positive?
