Appointment just to check heartbeat?

Kiana

Hi guys! So I just recently found out I was expecting. I was about 13 weeks when I found out. My due date is April 8th. I had my first appointment at my RE’s office, because we had NO IDEA how I could have gotten pregnant, so we did an ultrasound to find the gestational age of my little monkey. My RE had me make an appointment to switch over to my regular OB, at my appointment with the OB we didn’t do much but talk and take blood. My concern is that I’m now 15 weeks and I still haven’t actually heard the baby’s heartbeat (but I have seen it and it was measuring 152bpm at the RE’s ultrasound). My next appointment isn’t until the 24th to discuss my blood work. Would it be silly of me to call and try to make a quick appointment just to have my OB use the doppler on me to hear the heartbeat? Would they even make such an appointment for me? I’m so concerned about missed miscarriage (this is my first, and I’m doing a LOT of googling which isn’t helping), I know that hearing the heartbeat would put my mind at ease and relieve a lot of the stress I’m feeling, but I don’t want to make myself look dumb by calling for an appointment.
