What size should I get?!

Alright ladies, here’s my predicament. I was 9 weeks pregnant when my husband and I found out I was having a miscarriage. We were and still are devastated.

After this occurred, I made the hard decision to FaceTime my friend (who lives in another state) to let her know what was going on. She is getting married in the end of June and our baby was supposed to be 1.5 months old at this time. Through tears, I told her I wasn’t sure I was able to be in the wedding as my OB said these next few months would be my most fertile. If I were to conceive right away, I would be due only 8 days after her wedding and unable to travel through multiple states to be in the wedding. I want so badly to stand by her side on her wedding day, but more than that, I want a family.

She is the most understanding, gracious, and loving person and friend. She cried with me and told me she wanted me to stand with her, but more than that, she wanted us to have this, to have our family. I explained I wanted to tell her all of this now rather than later so she isn’t left last minute with out one of her bridesmaids. She said she didn’t have anyone else she would want to be in the wedding. We agreed I would buy the dress and if I’m able to be in the wedding, I will be, and if not, at least I’ll have a pretty dress.

Throughout the many OB appointments I have to check my hcg levels and get ultrasounds to make sure I’m all clear, I learned it will likely be at least a month before we can try again. Therefore IF we can try next month and IF I conceive, I would be about 8 months pregnant. So IF I am able to be in her wedding...what the heck size dress should I get?! The dresses are made mostly of chiffon and the dress shop said they are easier to take in than to let out. How many sizes bigger should I go?! I’m currently a size 6. Maybe go up two sizes and get a 10???....

Has anyone had a similar experience? Does anyone have a rough idea of how many sizes up you go? I understand everyone is different and there are so many “ifs” in this scenario ....just looking for some advice as I would be a first time mom and have no idea what to expect!!! Thank you ladies!
