Anyone else NOT announcing on social media?

I'm curious to see if anyone is keeping their news off of social media like FB? We've announced our pregnancy to friends and family, so we're not staying quiet. It just doesn't feel right to make it sooo public.

I've thought about it and here's the reason/s why-
My husband and I have 4 girls and with our last, as soon as we announced we started getting the, "hopefully it's a boy this time," "are you hoping for a boy," "maybe finally you'll get your boy," etc.. It was annoying. When we found out it was a girl, we decided not to tell anyone and even though we made it clear people would have to wait till birth, people kept asking anyway. When they finally saw it was girl, the "again," "oh, man," and "you only make girls," comments started. We just found out it's probably another girl, so now were on the fence of even announcing our pregnancy to anyone besides family (which they already know). If I do put it on Facebook, which won't be till our 12 weeks scan next week, I will make a very clear, straight forward disclosure about keeping "girl" comments to themselves.

I’m exactly the same as you the people I want to know will know don’t feel the need to put it on fb but I don’t put loads of stuff on fb anyway to be honest. 😊

Eh. I don't really care either way. My friends and family know. Maybe after the gender reveal I'll post but..the people I care about know so that's all that matters to me.

I will, after the 20 week scan. And I'll announce the birth. But then after that I won't be putting anything up picture wise. I have a list of close family and friends that I will share pictures with on FB, they are people I trust to not post or share the pictures.

I have a tentative plan to announce on New Years when I'll be 25 weeks.

I’ll be putting something up eventually. I just haven’t yet. My older daughter will be 2 on New Years Eve and I was trying to include her in an announcement, just haven’t made one I like yet. Although I do have a video of her mocking my morning sickness, I may use that. 💁🏼
