Gender reveal to SO?

In a few days I go in to have my anatomy ultrasound and find out the gender of the baby, which is something I have been unsure about doing. My boyfriend and I have decided that I will find out the gender though and we will do a gender reveal at my baby shower in January to tell our families. However, my boyfriend can't go with me to the appointment (he works 12 hour days an hour away from where we live) so any ideas on how to tell my boyfriend would be great. I want something cute but kind of small since its just the 2 of us finding out right now
