Baby age at 1st ultrasound?

So im just questioning if everyones ob dates the pregnancy by LMP or do they re asses age at the ultrasound. The ob keeps telling me im 9w3d but i still had my period then. Wondering if when i go in monday they give me an actual age like 7w5d or something?

Everyone uses LMP. Your ultrasound will also give an LMP date. So even if the baby implanted 7 weeks ago it's going to say 9 weeks since that's your LMP.

lpn- it's counted as FIRSR DAY of ur LAST period. it's standard. this is why, when ur test comes back positive,  ur already 4 weeks along.. by the time u get seen ur 4-8 weeks along, or more. it's standard.

my sis in law was 7 weeks according to her lmp...at her 1st ultrasound, they dated the baby ay 8 weeks... so it is possible that it may change, but usually it stays the same and they go with the date based on your lmp....

Going by your last period is just an estimate- when you get your sonogram they will measure the baby and tell you how far along it is.

Yup, folks are on average about 2 weeks "along" when they ovulate, 3 weeks-ish for implantation, about 4 weeks along when you are due for another period and can confirm you're pregnant.
