real contractions still not dilated..help!

I'm at L&D.; have been since 5am. I'm having really bad contractions every 4 minutes but I'm still only at 1cm. They had me walks for 2 hours then checked my cervix, no change. She didn't want to let me go home because of how strong the contractions are so they gave me morphine to try and relax my body see if that works to open up more. I don't know what's wrong with my body but its just not doing what its supposed to. Feeling frustrated and scared. I've been having contractions for 12 hours now and cervix won't open more than 1cm..😭😭😭
