Terrible advice rant

I called my daughters peditritian this morning and spoke with the on call nurse (they are open on weekends for sick kids). My daughter has had a cold for 11 days now and her congestion seemed to be getting worse so i wanted to know if there was anything else I could do to help her or if I should come in to see the dr this week. I needed some advice. Well the nurse shocked me by telling me I should go to the emergency room right away. I asked if she meant urgent care but she insisted I go to the hospital. Well I pack up my baby and drove to the hospital in the city only to have the doctor tell me it was absurd that the nurse told me to go there and my baby is fine. She scared the life out of me for no reason and should have told me to go to the regular doctor or urgent care if she thought it couldnt wait till tomorrow. I'm sooooooooooo mad. I'm relieved she is fine though.
