Wrapping baby with a rope

Hi guys ! I,m from Pakistan tribal areas and my English is not so good. This is my first article in glow nurture and it is about a strange baby care custom found in tribal areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan. I don't know this method is right or wrong but just want your comments. The method is to wrap baby in a small piece of cloth and then to tie with a small, soft rope which is made of clothes. This is for new born baby to 6 mnth old. In this period the baby remains bounded about 12 to 14hrs of 24hrs. If baby pees or feels uncomfortable any time, he cries and the mom opens the rope, cleans, puts baby powder and ties again . I had a great debate with them two days ago .They all are illiterate and call upon themselves with force .lol......
