plastibell circumcision: why? genuinely asking so I can understand!!
I understand what it is but I don't understand WHY. ok... the following is my perception of it vs a standard circumcision. I'm not making ANY judgements on the procedure!! I'm simply confused and looking for clarification :) ... my son's circumcision was a quick deal. like less than seven minutes and he was over it within minutes. I stood next to him the whole time and he only let out of squeak when the skin was pressed together tightly for cutting. healed in a week. done. why would you drag that out when you can have it done in minutes? it seems (to me!!! please no one get offended) not only kind of cruel to just drag it out but pointless and an infection risk. I'm looking for some other reason besides, "my doc made me" ( which is the only reason I've heard) because no one forces you to do anything to your child. so there has to be more valid reasons if it's being done. please educate me!!! EDIT: I'm not talking about circumcision vs not. I'm asking about this particular method :)
