Went to Dr for infertility

So had an apt. with my obgyn today after a year of ttc. She is sending me to get blood testing on day 3 of my cycle. Testing estridiol, fsh/lh and something else, on cycle day 5-9 she wants me to get an ultrasound and a hysterosalpingogram. Has anyone ever had this procedure done? How is it, I read about it and it doesn't sound fun. My cycles have been irregular and this past cycle I don't even know if it was a true period. I have been testing ovulation and have had low lh and no surge. Hoping everything is ok. Share your stories please.
