Major hip surgery

I've been back to see the surgeon today after undertaking 2 operations last summer to correct my hip situation as I suffer from hip displasia. Unfortunately it didn't work. They told me they want to on go some very major surgery in September to correct both hips, changing my hip shape. I've been trying to conceive and now think it'll be best to wait? The recovery time from this operation is a whole year. It's really upset me.
