3 year old has adhd??

Question

my 3 year old daughter is always having like mental break downs where she is constantly screaming, yelling, and throwing a fit. She is very repetitive too. once she starts fussing about something she'll continue to fuss over it for almost an hour. nothing I do or anyone does calms her down. She went off with my mom today and she fought my mom like a grown man so she wouldn't get in the carseat.                                                            My best friend, who has adhd, says that my daughter is showing signs of having adhd. does anyone know what I could do to stop her from throwing these fits ?

I am no doctor but that sounds like a 3 year old acting like a 3 year old...
Personally I think the term ADHD is thrown around too much. Of course I believe that people do seriously have it, but I also believe it’s abused sometimes like saying you have a “colic baby.” I think people use those terms too much when they just have a hyper or little more sensitive child. 
I wouldn’t worry too much until your doctor says something.

Nothing you can do right now. It sounds like she’s being a 3 year old. They don’t diagnose adhd until later. My son wasn’t diagnosed until 8 years old. With our 5 year old son who hasn’t been diagnosed and I don’t think he is would throw temper tantrums and we would just have to let him cry. Children like structure and order. If you still feel she does have adhd you can speak with her doctor about it and see what the next steps would be for you.

I have no advice, just wanted to say I'm with you. 
My 2.5 year old has two types of tantrums... ones that I would classify as typical toddler tantrums, and others that go WAY beyond that. Sometimes crying hysterically for an hour or two... and nothing, including just giving him what he originally wanted makes it stop. It is heartbreaking to watch.
I have found that in those moments the less we interact with him the better. I barely even talk. My husband can't control himself and talks a lot, and it seems to prolong the fit. I'll usually just turn everything off and sit quietly on the floor until he is ready to join me. 
Also, I started keeping track of what we did to see if there was a pattern to the madness. I quickly noticed... he can only handle so many new/exciting activities in one day and he absolutely HAS to have a nap (a good one). On the days that are really busy, or he got a shorter/interrupted nap he almost always has a tantrum and then also wakes up in the middle of the night having a night terror.

The diagnose ADHD should hardly never be considered at such a young age, because a lot of what you mention is normal for the age. No 3 year old has a great attention span, really. 
I'd say focus on finding out which situations trigger which behaviors and try to see what kind of purpose these behaviors fill for your kid. Is she more likely to get attention when she throws a tantrum than she is when she plays quietly? What is she trying to communicate through her behavior?
