I’m talking about someone you truly love.. they didn’t cheat on you to contract it either.

Depends on this STD. Do I have it too? Is it potentially life threatening? Did they know they had it?

If they knew they had it and didn’t tell me, yes. If they told me from the start, or if they didn’t know, and they didn’t get it from cheating, then probably not, no.

Nope. My SO is terminally ill and he told me about it before we ever got serious. I decided to date him anyway. Our 5 year anniversary is next month. If he contracted an STD, I'd just make sure I was clean and then I'd continue to stay with him. 
If you love someone, you stick with them through sickness and in health.

Obviously you were just told recently because you didn't say he told you in the beginning of the relationship, it's not easy to let go of someone but having that worry of catching it while doing it is awful, so trust me when I say this, you'll find someone who'll do everything you want without a disease.
