Third Trimester Winter Coat?

Mamas! 
I’ll be in my third trimester (Due Feb 2) during a NYC winter and wondering what you mamas are planning to do/have done in the past for a winter coat?
I really don’t want to spend hundreds (or even 100) on a maternity specific coat that I’ll only use for a few months but wearing my regular coats open seems like the bump and boobs would freeze. I also don’t have the option of stealing hubby’s jacket since he is pretty skinny. 
Any advice?

I hear that you'll be super hot in third trimester anyways so layers are better. I live in Canada our winters are bad too. my sister was pregnant at the same time a few years back and she said she just layered sweaters and sometimes she didn't even need a sweater she was so hot. you can always get a size up coat just in case and just wear sweaters underneath.

I found a great, affordable maternity coat at h&m; for my last pregnancy. It was a great investment, got lots of use out of it and looked fashionable.

Check out ebay/poshmark/mercari! They have a ton of cheap maternity jackets in good condition. People use them for one winter and have no need to keep them so they sell them for decent prices 😊

I plan on getting a jacket from the thrift store that is too big, just so i dont spend a lot on a jacket i'll only use for one winter

Hi! Another NYC mamma here, due February 14. I went to Uniqlo and got a faux shearling coat. I think it was only like 60 or 80 bucks and in my regular size (XS or S, i can't remember right now) it had plenty of space for belly and all but still looked stylish and since it fit me nicely without a belly also (back when I bought it) I know I can continue to use it in the future! Uniqlo has really been great this pregnancy. Their jeggings are only $30 and I've been able to wear them a size up since about 10 weeks or so (now 23 weeks). And they have lots of coats and tops and big sweaters and what not and it's all relatively inexpensive.

I refuse to buy ANYTHING maternity.. I’ll be trying on a bunch of coats until I find the right one.

I got my maternity coat from jojo maman Bebe. They have an online store. The coat was £80 however it has a panel at the front that zips out so it can be used as a normal coat too.  Well worth the money!

Kohl’s has a couple of really cute ones they run on sale and can always use coupons on top of sale for under $50

I'm  wicked hot already, so I don't even think I'll need one! I have a hand me down jacket from a friend that is sweatshirt material and I think that, will be enough for me.
