Baby girl name spelling??

I'm deciding on the spelling of the name 'Jane/Jayne'. My husband's Nan is called 'Jane' and he wants to name a girl after her. Would adding a 'y' defeat the purpose? Does it look nicer? I keep going back and forth! The middle name will be Evelyn, my mother's middle name, would there be too many 'y's?? Thanks!

Jayne is like J-nee. Think of the song "Jaine's Got a Gun" by Aerosmith. Jane is how you spell Jane. As someone with a hard to pronounce name, I would always pronounce Jayne as J-nee and I think it'll be difficult for people to pronounce it correctly.

I went to school with a "jaynie" and I like that, but I'd stick with Jane if that's how you want it pronounced
