Raw chicken listeria?

My mom touched raw chicken, to put it in the crock pot, then washed her hands. Then after she put the dishes away. am i safe to drink out of the cups she washed. i rinsed it but i'm scared i got the germs of where she touched in the inside of the cup now that i rinsed it.

You should talk to your doctor about your anxiety if you're the same person that posted last week about you redoing a whole rack of dishes because your mom touched them after raw potatoes (or something like that). This is sounding like an obsessive compulsive level of worry that is not healthy.

You mean salmonella. And while it sucks if you get it, you're pregnancy would be fine. Listeriosis is serious. You get it from not heating processed meat, and from sprouts, and contaminated raw fruits and veggies which can cause a miscarriage due to the high fever it causes. The risk is very low, but still possible but not if you take precautions.
