Every time I got the shot, I quickly got sick within a week after. I spoke with two of my nurse friends and my friend who's a pharmacist and they said they don't have their kids get them and wouldn't get themselves if they weren't required to with their job. The shot isn't a live strain, so you can't get the flu directly from the shot, HOWEVER, the shot has been proven to suppress your immune system for about 2 weeks after receiving it, which is why so many people end up sick just after receiving it. Also, it's actually proven to be less than 50% effective as it's simply an educated guess as to what strain the flu will take, when it's created a year prior. Don't get me wrong, I am definitely pro-vax, the flu shot is the only shot my family doesn't receive.

I’m 27w and got Mine. I know it’s not 100% effective, but I’ll take what I can get to help my baby since he’s coming in January.

I got mine at 32 Weeks, 8 hours later I had the full blown flu! I was so scared! My fetal movements were low but luckily I took action (Tylenol & a ton of water) & got better in 3 days. It was truly awful
