Lo and blankets

My little guy LOVES LOVES LOVES soft blankets, and he happens to love them smooshed in his face 😑 that is his go to nap position. He gets mad when I move the blanket away from his face but obviously I have to. I only let him sleep with blankets for naps when I am awake and near and I move the blankets the minute he's asleep. Now my question is, are lovies just as big of a no no as blankets for bed time? He's 11 weeks and I think he would sleep better with something soft to cuddle but I obviously don't want it to be a hazard.
