bottle to sippy ?

my son is almost 8 months old , is there any trick or anything to help with the bottle to sippy cup transformation ? he’s just not understanding the cup concept lol

Put a straw in water or milk and put your finger at the top to keep the liquid in the straw. Put the end of the straw in your babies mouth and slowly release your finger from the top. Forget sippy and go straight to straw cup. Munchkin weighted straw cup is great. You can also try the "honey bear" cup ( on amazon). You can squeeze the "bear" to help move liquid up. Sippy can create tongue thrust/non natural tongue movements. Does not promote the sophisticated swallow/suck pattern so you may have problems with teeth or tongue movements later. Might not, but why even bother taking the risk?

I gave my son the 360 cups, he learned watching us drink from cups. I introduced them around 6 months and he started being able to use them around 9 months.

Just keep trying. My sons daycare worked quite a bit with him. He really took to tommy tippee sippy cups but once he got the hang of them we put away all bottles and he drank out of all sippy cups.
